When Offset revealed that he owned the real red varsity jacket that the late King of Pop donned in the “Thriller” music video, it elevated his devotion of Michael Jackson to a whole new level. 

The native of Atlanta responded on Twitter on Wednesday to a follower who had joked about him because of his admiration for Michael Jackson. The previous day, BAPE declared that it would release a new Michael Jackson collaboration including the renowned jacket. 

The fan said that they had to obtain the jacket before Offset did, but the former member of Migos proved that he is one of the world’s biggest Michael fans by flexing in a way that made it clear. Offset captioned a photo of himself holding Michael Jackson’s jacket in his post, saying, “The actual jacket here.” 

Offset will undoubtedly be keeping an eye out for the upcoming BAPE Michael Jackson collaboration, which will launch on the BAPE online and in-stores on October 28. There will be fifty distinct pieces in the collaboration, including t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Offset has expressed his admiration for Michael Jackson on previous occasions. The 31-year-old honored Michael Jackson’s legendary times, looks, and music videos (“Thriller,” “Billie Jean,” and “Smooth Criminal”) in the music video for “Fan,” which was released last month. In a formal statement released concurrently with “Fan,” Offset gave an explanation for his decision to include a Michael Jackson allusion in the image.

“I’ve spent more than two years working on this project. For me, this season is intimate. Regarding his Set It Off album, Offset remarked, “It signifies a new chapter in my life.” “It reminds me of Michael Jackson going solo from record-breaking success in a group to superstardom. Cardi B also discussed Offset’s admiration for Michael Jackson, focusing on his tattoo. During an interview with Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning, Cardi discussed her disapproval of her husband’s tattoo.

“Well, he love Michael Jackson, he got him tattooed twice,” she continued. “I have to show you all the tattoo that Michael Jackson received on his stomach. I’m not even interested in taking it there, but you guys definitely should see it, as we often say, “You know, it’s just staring at me.”
