Tyson Fury is taking a vacation in Cannes while aboard the $18,000 per night iRama Yacht

Notably, this doesn’t apply to boxing champion Tyson Fury, renowned as the freshly-retired Gypsy King. Following his last fight, the British heavyweight and two-time champion amassed an estimated $32.9 million, a portion of which he has opted to allocate for a lavish family getaway.

While it’s not uncommon for celebrities to indulge in extravagant vacations – some charter superyachts for weeks of global exploration, while a select few take it up several notches, comparable to the likes of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, incurring expenses starting at $2 million per week solely for the megayacht. What sets Tyson Fury apart is his decision to embrace a modified lifestyle, refraining from extravagant spending on items such as cars, mansions, and designer clothing.

Occasionally, he makes exceptions, approaching such instances with a practical perspective. This is demonstrated by the yacht selected for his early summer vacation alongside his Gypsy Queen, their six children, and other family members. The Furies are presently in Cannes, where they have reserved the iRama yacht, a vessel constructed in 2009 by the Concept Marine shipyard in Turkey.

Designed entirely in-house, iRama may not match the colossal proportions favored by other celebrities. Measuring 137 feet (37 meters) in length, it still exudes opulence, accommodating 14 guests and seven crew members. Constructed with a GRP hull and superstructure, iRama stands as a full-displacement, steadfast, and swift yacht, powered by twin MTU engines that propel it to a maximum speed of 21 knots (about 24 mph or 39 kph). Its cruising range extends to 2,500 nautical miles (approximately 2,877 miles or 4,630 km) at a speed of 12 knots (around 13.8 mph or 22.2 kph). The yacht is primarily offered for charter within the Mediterranean, encompassing destinations like France, Italy, and Monaco.

Onboard amenities comprise a jacuzzi, multiple dining and entertainment areas, and an array of water toys, making iRama an ideal choice for a family excursion. The Furies have been fully engaging with these offerings, as evidenced by photos in the Daily Mail, showcasing jet skis, water skis, wakeboards, inflatables, and a full-sized tender for onshore outings.

Yet, as life goes, nothing comes free – an impeccable family vessel of this stature demands a corresponding price. Tyson Fury is paying €160,000 per week (equivalent to roughly $167,000 according to the current exchange rate, translating to nearly $18,000 per night), in addition to expenses, for the charter. It’s worth noting that he secured a favorable deal due to the low season in May, resulting in a reduced rate.
