Rick Ross met with GSU students enrolled in a course on his career.
Rick Ross visited Georgia State University recently to speak with law students enrolled in a 13-week course on the rapper. The program covers several legal contracts that shaped Rick Ross’s career and gives students the chance to learn about writing, interpreting, and negotiating music business accords.
“As a lover of rap music, Hip-Hop culture, and in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop, I could not think of a better time to study the career of a visionary like Rick Ross,” the professor said in a news statement. She went on to sаy: “When I began my research on Ross, I realized early on that my students would learn about a businessman who turned his love of music into an empire that includes massive real estate holdings, food and beverage franchises, investments in the car and bike industry, literary works and corporate equity ownership.”
Rick Ross’ presence at Georgia State University follows the release of his new album, Too Good To Be True, featuring Meek Mill. According to HitsDailyDouble, the album will likely sell between 30-35k copies in its first week. Meek justified his modest expectations in a series of tweets over the weekend. “It says me and Ross are on track to sell 35k in the first week,” he tweeted. “I would share if it stated 350k… I’m too lovely and wealthy to be rapping in a controlled music atmosphere, which is why we release songs on Fridays. Now that we all own our music, we’re building the technology to put individuals on our own musical subscriptions, and we’re going to let the customer know if rap is doing well.” Check out Ross’ visit to GSU in the video below.
