Travis Kelce recently purchased an enchanted home.
In the midst of speculations that he’s dating Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs player allegedly spent millions on a new property complete with a swimming pool, waterfall, and mini golf course. Since Swift stepped up to the NFL tight end’s home game on September 24th, Kelce, 34, and the “Anti-Hero” musician, 33, have been leaving a trail of crumbs pointing to their newfound romance.
If the Grammy winner’s recent appearance at Arrowhead Stadium on October 12th wasn’t enough, the purported couple was photographed all over New York City this past weekend, allegedly locking lips at the Saturday Night Live after-party and dining out.
According to TMZ, Kelce allegedly took their relationship to the next level on Tuesday when he signed for a new home. Though it has not been confirmed, the great athlete’s choice to relocate to a fancy, private apartment is for the benefit of his suspected girlfriend, according to insiders.
The $6 million mansion is nestled within a gated neighborhood and is only accessible to homeowners and their visitors. Kelce apparently decided to move after witnessing how accessible and public his previous residence was.
Previously, the football icon lived in a seven-bedroom home in Briarcliff West, a leafy Kansas City neighborhood, that he purchased for $995,000 in 2019. Kelce also spent $355,000 on a home in Orlando, Florida, the same year.
While this appears to be a minor cost for the player, who inked a four-year contract with the Chiefs in 2020 worth an estimated $57 million, his recent statements about the attention he’s received as a result of his connection to Swift provide plausible justification for the address change.
Kelce spoke to his brother Jason, 35, on their eponymous New Heights podcast last month about how his connection to the Eras Tour star has resulted in an enhanced presence in the spotlight. “We’ve been avoiding this subject out of respect for your personal life – now we’ve got to talk about it,” Jason said on the show to his brother.
“My personal life is not so personal,” Kelce said with a joke. “I did this to myself, Jason, I know this.”
Kelce, on the other hand, doesn’t appear to be too upset about it, since he and Swift were seen kissing each other at the SNL after-party at Catch on Saturday. One insider told Entertainment Tonight that they kissed many times throughout the night, and that Kelce even told Swift’s security people that he’d “take over” for him.
“They were holding hands throughout the night, whispering into each other’s ear, and they even exchanged some kisses,” a person familiar with the matter claimed. “At one point, he actually told her security guard that he could step aside like he’d take it from here.”
Before the party, Kelce was seen casually tapping the “Fifteen” singer’s security out of the way to open the car door for her. Following the release of the footage, many people speculated that the athlete “pushed” the security guard. Kelce, on the other hand, clarified their conversation on a recent episode of New Heights.
“I didn’t push him,” he said to Jason. “I put my hand on the gentleman’s back to alert him that I was following him. If I had pushed him, he would have probably turned around and tased me.”
