Soccer star Erling Haaland’s lavish European luxury real estate portfolio

Erling Haaland’s ascent to prominence has been rapid. The footballer was born in Leeds, England in 2000 to two Norwegian Olympians (Leeds United player Alfie Haaland and former wоmen’s heptathlon athlete Gry Marita Braut). When Erling was three years old, the family relocated to the couple’s hometown of Bryne, Norway. He participated in golf, handball, track and field, and, of course, football (soccer for those of us in the United States). Erling began his professional career at the age of 15 with Bryne F.K. From there, he’s captivated football fans all over the world, with stints with C. Red Bull Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, and now Manchester City F.C. He is widely regarded as one of the top players in the world. Erling’s success on the pitch has given him a voracious thirst for real estate. Reports of him house shopping in a new city sometimes coincide with rumors about an upcoming career change. We’ve included information on Erling Haaland’s luxury houses below.

2020

Erling apparently had a property in Spain before the age of 21 owing to his father’s choice to invest in the municipality of Malaga. Not much is known about this particular pad, but Erling’s agent, Mino Raiola, did confirm that his client bought the property around the same time that the soccer star supposedly assured supporters, “I will play here in Spain” while on holiday in Marbella with his family (in December of 2021). The announcement made news all around the world. Erling was on the verge of leaving Borussia Dortmund, and rumors circulated that he would join a new club, probably in Spain.

2022

By the spring of 2022, Erling had added to the rumors by purchasing a $7.12 million property in Marbella, Spain. The home is 22,507 square feet in size and has a huge living room, a sauna, and an outstanding outside space that includes a large pool, an outdoor shower, and a garden with several seating spots. Rather unusually, roughly 4,000 square feet of the property is underground, which is ideal for the sports superstar’s seclusion and protection.

Erling signed a five-year multi-million dollar contract with Manchester City F.C. after two seasons with Borussia Dortmund despite rumours that he would move with a Spanish side. Naturally, the footballer looked for a new location to live. At the time, it was believed that Erling was interested in rival Manchester United player Paul Pogba’s spectacular six-bedroom Cheshire property, which was valued at $3.8 million. The property’s highlights included a heated swimming pool, a sauna, a gym, and the P.P. Arena—Pogba’s indoor football pitch with LED lighting and an electronic scoreboard. However, it seems that Erling ultimately chose city living over the more bucolic Cheshire location, and Pogba put the mansion up for rent in August 2023 for a reported $8,000 a week. It is unclear where in Manchester Erling currently resides, but the UK tabloid Mirror reports that his home features a cryotherapy chamber that costs him upwards of $60,000.

Erling recently made a full-circle return to Norway, apparently purchasing a $3.28 million flat in Oslo. According to sources, he is constantly watched by security, and his privacy is of the highest importance. Suffice it to sаy, nothing is known about the footballer’s newest residence, other than the fact that it has three bedrooms and is located in the same building as the billionaire Petter Stordalen-owned hotel Sommerro. Given Erling’s hectic schedule, the pad will undoubtedly serve as a refuge and respite in the coming months.
