Drake appears to have settled in Houston, Texas, after years of seeking a new residence.
On September 18, the Toronto rapper informed an audience of nearly 20,000 admirers at Toyota Centre during the second night of his ‘It Was All A Blur’ tour.
In an Instagram video, he is heard saying, “I’m thrilled to share this tonight; I had to make it official first, but I’ve been trying to figure out, you know, the right place for me to live – where I belong – outside of Toronto for a long time.”
“I have found a place in Houston after all these years,” he continues, to which the audience responds with a round of ovation and shouts.
Drake, born Aubrey Graham Drake, is a native of Toronto and has maintained a home in the Bridle Path neighborhood of the city since 2015.
The house on the two-acre property was custom-designed and constructed by Ontario-based luxury home designer Ferris Rafauli for an initial purchаse price of $6.7 million. Graham granted his Instagram followers a view into his Toronto residence in 2019 by posting videos of the interior.
He has not publicly declared that he is selling his Toronto property.
