Kendrick Lamar does not hesitate to spend a lot of money to buy a new villa with money saved from last year until now

When not on the road, Kendrick Lamar has resided in Manhattan Beach, a wealthy coastal enclave in the South Bay of Los Angeles. The proceeds from the “Dʑmn” tour from the previous year exceeded $62 million. In an off-market transaction, the 13-time Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper purchased a pristine, brand-new residence for just over $9.7 million.

As the property was never advertised for sale, specifications and images of the interior are scarce. Nonetheless, the new mansion was constructed by the local luxury homebuilder Powers Development, so it almost certainly features a designer kitchen, a master retreat reminiscent of a resort, and at least two wet bars.

According to public records, the 5,350-square-foot contemporary home features four bedrooms and seven complete bathrooms. Even though it is not oceanfront, the uppermost level of the three-story house features an expansive open-air terrace with views of the setting sun. This is typical for the densely populated coastal community where the house occupies nearly the entire property.

Floor-to-ceiling glass, a three-car garage, and a small front yard featuring a terrace characterize the futuristic dwelling. Considering the proximity of a picturesque sandy shoreline, the installation of an in-ground swimming pool would be excessive.

Adjacent to Lamar’s new residence is Ryan Miller’s contemporary estate in Manhattan Beach, an intimate enclave frequented by a number of professional athletes. Zooey Deschanel, Blake Griffin, Maria Sharapova, and Luke Walton all reside in the vicinity.

The real estate industry is not foreign to the hip-hop magnate. Lamar purchased an unremarkable home in Eastvale, Riverside County, approximately one hour east of Los Angeles, for $523,400 in cash in 2013. Late in 2017, he acquired a massive home in a guard-gated enclave in Calabasas, California, where his mother, younger sister, and other relatives reside, for $2.65 million.

Manhattan Beach was represented by Gary Kooba of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, whereas Mark Norton of Palm Realty Boutique represented Lamar.
