Avril Lavigne, a pop-rock singer-songwriter, has advertised her Malibu, California, oceanfront residence for $11.995 million.
The 3,455-square-foot residence, situated on a bluff above one of the region’s most popular surf locations, Zuma Beach, boasts “incredible unobstructed ocean and coastline views,” according to a listing with Coldwell Banker Realty on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old “Sk8er Boi” and “Complicated” singer purchased the residence in October 2020 for $7.8 million via a Canadian corporation associated with her sibling, according to records with PropertyShark.
The listing describes the residence as having “beautiful interior spaces with expansive outdoor patios, stretching glass walls, an entertainer’s pool, and a spa, all of which overlook the sand and provide whitewater views of Zuma Beach.”
Photos of the listing indicate that the residence does, in fact, feature an open kitchen, living room, and dining room, parquet floors, vaulted ceilings, built-in cabinetry, a fireplace, and access to the outdoors. A long island with seating, wine storage, two basins, and a double refrigerator characterize the chef’s kitchen.
The main house is situated on a single level and comprises three bedrooms. Among them is the master suite, which features a walk-in closet adorned with personalized items such as plaid mini skirts, Doc Martens, and black jackets. Additionally, there is a bathroom with a soaking tub adjacent to a large window that overlooks the verdant surroundings of the residence.
The listing also mentioned a detached guesthouse that offers an additional bedroom and toilet, a two-car garage that is adjacent to the main residence, an infrared sauna, a wine closet with temperature control, and a backup generator.
February 2022 saw the release of Ms. Lavigne’s new album, “Love Sux,” and the dates of her European tour are April 12 to May 10.
