Singer Halsey sold her $11 million house in Los Angeles to the director of the movie ‘Crazy Rich Asians’

Public records corroborate that despite the off-market nature of the transaction, Halsey sold her expansive estate on the fringes of Los Angeles County in complete sеcrеcy during the summer. Although it fell short of the asking price of $11.9 million, the final sales price of $11.6 million was still a substantial amount for the community. Prominent Hollywood director and producer Jon Chu, best known for Crаzy Rich Asians, purchased the property with his longstanding wife Kristin, who and Chu already own a smaller residence less than a half-mile away. Chu was a neighborhood native.

Halsey obtained the substantial spread for approximately $10.2 million less than two years ago. Before 2015, Liam Payne of One Direction purchased the property from English financier Roger Jenkins, the ex-husband of former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member Diana Jenkins. Payne acquired the property himself.

Halsey House Calabasas Jon ChuConstructed in the unincorporated Monte Nido neighborhood in the early 1990s and nestled into the hills between Calabasas and Malibu, the estate has undergone a progressive process of enhancement and improvement under the guidance of its succession of opulent proprietors. As of the present time, the property comprises several structures, as stated in the listing: a detached three-car garage, a pool house, a standalone recording studio, and a sequestered “meditation studio,” in addition to a tiny gatehouse for a full-time security officer.

In addition, there is the 10,000-square-foot main house, which is designed in the manner of a Mediterranean villa and features walnut floors, a chef’s kitchen, a two-story library, a movie theater, three-bedroom suites on the upper floors, and a complete cellar with a beauty salon.

However, the real estate listing is not what truly sets the property apart; the entire five-acre property is exquisitely landscaped, featuring mature sycamores, ancient oaks, and verdant meadows that are dispersed throughout the premises. Additionally, the property features a trickling watercourse that runs the entire length, a vineyard, expansive terraces featuring an outdoor kitchen, and a tub.

Halsey aspires to be a real estate magnate in her leisure time; she has acquired two new multimillion-dollar properties in the past half-year: a secluded cottage in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, and a vintage Spanish-style residence in Los Feliz. Additionally, records indicate that the 29-year-old has historically owned two conventional properties in another location, both of which were presumably occupied by relatives. One is situated in Santa Clarita, a prototypical Los Angeles suburb, and the other is in her home state of New Jersey.
