Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shows off his muscles as he arrives at his LA gym for his daily workout

He works very hard to keep his Olympian body in shape.

And when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stepped up to his Los Angeles gym on Monday for his regular workout, he demonstrated the commitment it takes to keep in top form.

Folloing the modest first-place showing of his Disney flick Jungle Cruise at the weekend box office, the 49-year-old entertainer showed no signs of abating

Dwayne was wearing a black tank top with white and yellow text that said “Iron Paradise Training Dept.” He was dressed casually before working up a sweat.

The Fast & Furious franchise star also donned iconic aviator sunglasses to help block out the bright Southern California sun, as well as subdued black trainers.

Dwayne thanked his followers on Instagram on Saturday for assisting Jungle Cruise in becoming the biggest grossing film.

The action actor gushed, “I want to thank you guys so much for those of you who went or watched it from your living room and created a big experience in your living room.”

These figures are starting to come in, and they’re not too bad. I just wanted to say that and how much I appreciate your support. This adventure began in 2018. We all dealt with Covid, of course. It took a lot of pushing, but at last it’s available for everyone to enjoy.

He said, “We knew we had a real legacy to create something that was based on the iconic and beloved Disney ride, and we also wanted to create the adventure of a lifetime.”

The movie has had mixed reviews and has only just managed to get a new rating of 62% on Rotten Tomatoes, where critics are polled.

Nevertheless, just 52% of the most well-known publications approved the film.

Producer Hiram Johnson disclosed that Dwayne has long been a fan of the original Jungle Cruise ride at Disneyland and Disney World, so it doesn’t seem to have lessened his affection for the movie.

He told Polygon, “Jungle Cruise was actually DJ’s favorite ride, which is ironic.” And fortunately, Disney was in a position where they wanted to try to establish Jungle Cruise.

Yet DJ had a dream that we were never even aware of, a dream along the lines of, “One day I want to, I want to be able to do that.” Thus, everything came together. Only a few years after we initially discussed it, everything came together beautifully.

Even though the reviews are conflicting, Jungle Cruise’s box office performance isn’t exactly stellar.

Variety reports that despite taking home the biggest prize at the weekend box office, the film only brought in $34 million in North America.

Including $27 million from overseas markets and $30 million from Disney+ payments, the total revenue comes to about $90 million; nonetheless, the film’s production and marketing costs amounted to about $200 million and $100 million, respectively.

Given that ticket sales are split with theaters, experts predict it will need to generate at least $500 million in revenue to break even.

The movie did nearly as well as some of the best-performing pandemic-era movies, although it fell short of the opening week receipts of movies like as A Quiet Place Part II ($47 million), Black Widow ($80 million), and F9 ($70 million).
