A panoramic view inside the $17.9 million luxury home of New York’s most famous Taylor Swift

A property belonging to the renowned Taylor Swift has been listed for sale.

The former rental property on Cornelia Street, New York City, which was listed for an exоrbitant $45,000 per month in November and served as the inspiration for Taylor Swift’s “Cornelia Street” (2019), is now formally for sale for $17.995M. The townhouse functioned as a provisional residence for the Grammy-winning vocalist during the 2016 renovation of her Tribeca estate.

According to data obtained from StreetEasy, Swift occupied the opulent townhouse at the time for a monthly rent of $38,000.

As of now, the management of the property’s listing is entrusted to Laurence Carty, Irene Lo, and Jennifer Rahilly of Corcoran.

Constructed in 1870, the carriage house embodies allure and personality. It features “drаmаtic double-height ceilings” and four bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half baths, according to the press release. In addition to three gas fireplaces and hardwood floors, the condominium features an elevator.

The residence, which is 5,400 square feet in size and comprises four stories, features an impressive kitchen featuring streamlined appliances, a wine refrigerator, and granite countertops.

An uncommon amenity among New York City real estate, the premises showcase a private indoor pool that surpasses 5 feet in depth and 30 by 15 feet in size. The area adjacent to the pool becomes an outdoor patio during the summer.

In addition, the luxurious property features a rooftop terrace with breathtaking vistas of Manhattan’s downtown.

The garage is prominently displayed on the exterior, adorned with a rustic wooden door and two smaller doors that complement its distinctive brick façade.

The residence in the West Village extends its outdoor areas beyond the terrace. Each suite on the third floor features a private terrace. Although each terrace is furnished with walk-in wardrobes, the terrace of the primary bedroom is particularly noteworthy for its “outdoor lounge” that includes a fireplace.

“Cornelia Street,” which appears on Swift’s 2019 album Lover, serves as an enduring testament to the artist’s sojourn in this residence. “I sаy casually in the car, ‘I rent a place on Cornelia Street,'” she sings in the track.

In a favorable interview with Vulture, David Aldea, an executive at Soho House and the previous proprietor of the property when Swift rented it, reminisced affectionately about her initial impression of the residence.

“She walked in, and her reaction was one I will never forget: ‘Oh my God, it’s so crafty!'” That is equivalent to Taylor Swift saying, “I like everything.” She inquired as to whether she could rent my style in addition to the residence. In addition to furnishings, glassware, linens, and tableware, the general rule is “Take your clothes with you.” Thus, I did so. She was a delight to interact with in every way.”
