It is hard to ignore the presence of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The former WWE star always seems to be a part of the conversation. While most of it is in praise for him, sometimes he does end up being on the receiving end of criticism. One such criticism around the star has to be whether he has used performance-enhancing drugs or steroids in the past. While fans have always had their theories, veteran bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman recently shared his theory on Johnson’s steroid use in the past.

Coleman believes Dwayne Johnson has used steroids

In conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia, host of the BeerBiceps podcast, Coleman and the host decided to dissect the possibilities of prominent athletes who might have used steroids in the past. One name that popped up was that of Dwayne Johnson. Upon being asked whether the eight-time Mr Olympia believes that Johnson has used steroids in the past, he agreed saying yes. However, Coleman further added that The Brahma Bull might not have used it to a great extent.

He believes Johnson might have done it “for the sake of his job.” Upon being asked by Allahbadia what gave it away, he said that the definition of his body gives it away. “The definition’s everywhere on his body,” he said. Coleman concluded the topic by saying, “It’s very unlikely, very unlikely that he’s natural.” Coleman did say that he might be wrong about his assumption but years in the industry have given him an eye to recognize who might be potentially using steroids. Apart from Johnson, Coleman believes John Cena might have also used steroids in his career.

Dwayne Johnson’s size has always been in controversy since his WWE debut. However, even Johnson has admitted that he had used steroids in the past.

Has Dwayne Johnson used steroids?

In an interview with MTV back in 2009, The Brahma Bull admitted the fact that he had used steroids. In the interview, he said that he and his friends tried performance-enhancing substances back when they were 18 or 19 years old. He admitted that it was done in a bid to enhance his performance while playing football. Johnson also admitted that it was the last time that he administered himself with steroids and has been clean since then. However, Joe Rogen does not believe him.

Earlier in 2023, internet celebrity Liver King landed into controversy due to his alleged steroid use. Seeing the news, Rogen stated that it was time for the Black Adam star to come clean. He also stated that the size difference between Johnson in his 30s and Johnson in his 50s is drastic and is unattainable for someone without the help of steroids. His size has landed him on a list of WWE stars who are infamously rumored to use steroids. Johnson has not issued any statement on this claim by Joe Rogan. Do you believe Dwayne Johnson uses steroids?
