Meek Mill’s Atlanta house seems to be a nightmare rather than a dream for the 35-year-old rapper.
Mill is attempting to sell his eight-bedroom, nine-and-a-half-bathroom house in Sandy Springs, even though he claims he has never lived in it after owning it for a couple of years, according to WSB-TV.
Mill said on Instagram that his broker, whom he did not identify, is not selling the home quickly enough, so he turned to social media to help.
He didn’t provide a price for the property, but he did indicate who could be interested in buying it.
“When somebody gets traded to the Hawks or Falcons come grab this Jawn!” Mill wrote to his 23.3 million Instagram followers. He also supplied a video tour of the property, which included a swimming pool and a tennis/basketball court combo. The luxurious residence has a home theater, sauna, and other contemporary conveniences.
According to Realtor.com, there are 44 properties for sale in Sandy Springs, with a typical listing price of $1.5 million.
Mill isn’t the first rapper to have buyer’s remorse after acquiring a large piece of real estate. Most notably, 50 Cent sold his sprawling mansion in Farmington, Connecticut, for $2.9 million in 2019. Curtis James Jackson, the rapper’s real nаme, purchased the property at 50 Poplar Hill Drive from Mike Tyson in 2003 for $4.1 million. Jackson’s asking price for the house was much lower than the $18.5 million he demanded when he initially listed it in 2007.
However, not all real estate purchases involving rappers go miserably.
Lil Wayne sold his Allison Island residence for a reported $22.6 million in February, well above the $17 million he purchased for it in 2018. Nonetheless, the award-winning rapper, real nаme Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., received less than the $28 million he reported.
