Inside Shakira’s £12 million luxury mansion in Miami

SHAKIRA is said to have moved into her luxury £12 million Miami property after leaving Barcelona after her breakup with Gerard Pique.

The Colombian popstar, 46, lives in the elite Miami Beach waterfront enclave with Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, and Matt Damon.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer has owned the 8,708 sqft six-bedroom home since 2001 when she refurbished it.
She bought hardwood flooring from Spain, a new front entrance from Europe, and custom-designed furnishings from the United States. Shakira, according to Marca, will return to the house when she begins her new life in Florida. The enormous gated home has a gorgeous heated swimming pool and outdoor kitchen surrounded by palm trees and offering breathtaking views of the bay. The home, which she previously shared husband Pique, even has its private boat dock.
It includes a wide living area with glass coffee tables a giant white couch with matching chairs and a magnificent white minimalist décor. A rug stands under the table and chairs in the dining room, an obvious homage to Shakira’s Lebanese background. One of the seven bathrooms has two basins and a large bathtub, while the kitchen is a useful place for cooking and entertaining with views of the garden. Shakira has her pop trophies on display in the office, and there’s a whole “entertainment wing” in the rear of the home.
It has a tiny home theater, an all-white pool table, and a hookah lounge with couches and large windows. Shakira allegedly purchased the 1951 mansion in 2001 for €2.5 million and listed it for sale in 2018 for €9.4 million. However, the listing was withdrawn in August 2021, implying that Shakira, who has family and close friends in Miami, has returned to the house with her two boys after leaving Barcelona. The mansion is estimated to be worth $19.6 million by Zillow and is located only minutes from the iconic Venetian Islands and Indian Creek.
It comes after Shakira was seen bidding farewell to her life in Spain as she sailed out to the United States with her boys. “I settled in Barcelona to give my children stability, the same that we are now looking for in another corner of the world next to family, friends, and the sea,” she posted on Twitter. “Today we start a new chapter in the search for our happiness.” The singer was meant to relocate with her two boys Milan, 10, and Sasha, 7, on January 3, but her travel was postponed because her elderly father’s health worsened.
Her departure was announced as her ex-footballer Pique was alleged to be “very annoyed” after being given just “days notice” of the momentous transfer. According to journalists Lorena Vasquez and Laura Fa, Shakira’s lawyer Pilar Mane informed Pique’s lawyer that the singer was departing. They said that the Colombian singer then called the former Barcelona player to confirm the news. He was claimed to be enraged at being kept in the dark about their specific departure date.
The Spanish media also allege that the two youngsters would begin school in Florida on April 11 – the day following spring break in the United States. Shakira and Pique have been feuding ever since their high-profile breakup last summer. Piqué, a former Barcelona defender, stated he was seeing Clara Chia Marti, 24, not long after they declared their breakup.
Their dirty laundry has been exposed publicly since then, as infidelity rumors about Pique and his younger girlfriend have circulated. After a lengthy discussion that culminated in a marathon 12-hour conference with their attorneys, Shakira and Pique declared in November that they had finally achieved a child custody arrangement. The next month, they signed the agreement at a court in Barcelona. Pique, the retired player, will spend the holidays with his children as part of the deal. Shakira’s return to Miami, where she previously resided, was thought to be the key sticking point in their contentious custody dispute. According to Spanish media, Shakira has been dating a new mysterious guy in Miami.
