As expected, model Karlie Kloss and her businessman husband Joshua Kushner are upgrading to an enormous mansion in Miami in preparation for the birth of their first child in the spring of 2021. They closed in December on a magnificent eight-bedroom residence that cost an astounding $23.5 million. The property is breathtaking. Situated on the affluent North Bay Road in Miami, the residence spans an area of more than 14,000 square feet. An adjacent parcel of land, recently acquired by Joshua’s brother Jared Kushner, and his wife Ivanka Trump, can be reached within a ten-minute drive.
Despite the potential intrigue of their prospective neighbors, the residence itself is more remarkable. A private port, a “summer kitchen,” floor-to-ceiling windows that capitalize on the waterfront location, and an enormous outdoor pool are all features of the opulent mansion. If they decide to expand their family or host guests and relatives, the Kloss-Kushners, who tied the knot in 2018, will have ample space in their newlywed home’s numerous chambers and restrooms.
Beyond the sizable indoor space, which features a wine cellar and a private gym, there’s also plenty of space for outdoor living. One of the highlights of the Miami mansion is a stunning indoor/outdoor terrace. Keep scrolling to get a look at the home’s gorgeous interior and its breathtaking grounds.
Picturesque Neighborhood
Karlie and Joshua’s new Miami neighborhood is truly picturesque. They live right on the bay with downtown Miami not far off. Tons of towering palm trees surround their new home, offering lots of privacy and plenty of shade, which of course is quite welcome in sunny Florida.
Landscaping Perfection
The home was built in 2009 in the signature Spanish colonial style of many Miami homes. It features a wide yard reached by a few short, whitewashed concrete steps. The lawn is, of course, perfectly manicured, and the massive palms scattered throughout create an idyllic atmosphere for lounging.
Peaceful Pool
Nestled within the yard is a beautiful swimming pool that looks perfect for getting in a few peaceful laps or splashing around with kiddos. It would be easy for a little one to wander in with the pool’s smooth edge though, so they may want to put in some sort of safety feature once their baby is mobile.
That Terrace Though
Adjacent to the swimming pool, there’s a beautiful terrace surrounded by the home’s traditional exterior arches. Set in the center are a trio of palm trees and modern, square water feature surrounded by river rocks. It all gives off a Zen vibe, and it looks like a great spot to get some fresh air.
Indoor/Outdoor Living
One of our favorite spaces of Karlie and Joshua’s new home is the interior courtyard. It is a lush green space covered in trailing plants with grassy areas built into a luxurious-looking marble floor. There are windows from the home’s interior overlooking the entire area, and even an adorable greenery covered Juliet balcony.
Summer Kitchen
Most people have a patio or outdoor deck on which to do their summer grilling. Not Karlie and Joshua though, they have an entire “summer kitchen.” This spacious area overlooks the water and features a built-in grill, lots of counter space, and a ceiling fan to keep everyone comfortable during those muggy Miami nights.
Sleek Kitchen
Moving indoors, there’s an even sleeker main kitchen featuring long stretches of white stone countertops, an island with a built-in gas range, plenty of shelving for those all-important cookbooks, and large windows that appear to overlook the pool area. Rather than a dining table, stools line the counters so people can dine in a casual setting.
Restaurant-Worthy Dining Room
The formal dining room looks like something straight out of a swanky restaurant. It features dark walls offset by expansive arched windows and a light-colored stone floor. The room features a large wood dining table and modern lighting that includes both recessed lights and a series of drаmаtic pendant lights that hang over the table.
Coordinating Living Room
The living room decor coordinates with the dining room. But this area has a bit more of a light and airy feel thanks to a number of enormous windows that surround nearly the entire room. The large beige sofas, which Karlie and Joshua negotiated to be included in the sale along with the rest of the furniture, also lighten up the space.
Formal Living
The home also features a more formal living area that appears to be just off the main entryway. The expansive space is completely lined with floor-to-ceiling windows on one side and has a gorgeous light wood ceiling with big, white beams running across it, and the same light-colored stone floors that the rest of the home boasts.
Streamlined Wine Cellar
There’s plenty of storage space for mommy juice in Karlie’s new home. It has its own suρer modern wine cellar. There’s no dark, cavern-like space full of dusty wine bottles here. The room features black walls and sleek metal wine racks lining the walls from floor to ceiling, as well as a small table for displaying favorite vintages.
Lovely Library
The previous residents of Karlie and Joshua’s Miami mansion must have been book lovers. There are built-in bookshelves throughout the house, but there’s also a gorgeous dedicated library. After the courtyard, it’s our favorite room in the entire home. It features bright white walls offset by chunky, espresso brown floor-to-ceiling bookshelves. It looks like the library doors open onto that pretty Juliet balcony we spotted in the courtyard. Just dreamy!
Blank Slate Bedroom
We only got a peek into one of the mansion’s eight bedrooms and it’s basically a massive open space. It’s a big, bright room with fabric-draped walls and a view to the outside, as well as doors that lead directly outdoors. It’s certainly full of potential and we’re sure Karlie and Joshua will be able to transform it in any number of ways.
Popular Neighborhood
Karlie and Joshua’s new neighborhood is a highly sought-after area. In fact, Joshua’s brother, Jared Kushner, and his wife, Ivanka Trump, have purchased a large plot of land just a short drive away (pictured here). Although Karlie and Joshua, may have different views, they’re bound to want to be near family.
A Family Home
Needless to sаy, Karlie and Joshua now have an incredible home to bring their sweet little one home to when he or she arrives. There’s certainly plenty of space for the family to spread out and enjoy figuring out life as a family of three, and lots of amenities to make them comfortable as they adjust.
