Lil Wayne names Future’s best Hip-Hop mixtape ’56 Nights’ of all time, proving his respect for his close friend

This week, Lil Wayne, who is considered a mixtape legend, unexpectedly refrained from declaring one of his albums the finest Hip-Hop mixtape of all time. The 41-year-old poet instead presented Future with those blossoms in recognition of his 2015 album 56 Nights.

This Tuesday, Weezy F Baby and 2 Chainz appeared on Complex’s GOAT Talk, where they proclaimed several items “greatest” in a variety of categories. When queried about the preeminent Hip-Hop mixtape of all time, the vocalist of “A Milli” immediately responded with 56 Nights by Future and DJ Esco.

REALigion, his 2005 album The Dedication, and his 2005 album Trap Or Die, which was a collaboration with DJ Drama and Jeezy. Ahead of the discussion, they both enumerated the all-time finest slander recordings. The New Orleans rapper selected “What’s Beef” by The Notorious B.I.G., while Chainz selected “Hit ‘Em Up” by 2Pac.

The appearance of Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz on GOAT Talk occurred approximately one month after the release of their most recent collaborative album, Welcome 2 Collegrove. As the follow-up to their 2016 album Collegrove, the 21-track collection featured Usher, Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Benny The Butcher, Vory, and others.

Late in September, Lil Wayne independently released Tha Fix Before Tha VI, providing listeners with a preview of the imminent album Tha Carter VI. On the ten-track album were contributions from Jon Batiste, Cool & Dre, Fousheé, euro, and TheNightAftr. 2 Chainz has not published a formal project since his Dope Don’t Sell Itself LP was released in February 2022. In the interim, however, he has appeared in some films, including “Cater” by Tink, “Ain’t No Love” by Baby Tate, “Mask Up” by Neek Bucks, and “Get In My Zone” by Ron Browz.
