Patrick Bet-David, an entrepreneur and podcaster, disclosed that the value of his Fort Lauderdale estate has increased by an astounding $25 million since Lionel Messi moved in next door.
After joining David Beckham’s Major League Soccer franchise Inter Miami in the summer, the soccer icon, who inked a two-and-a-half-year, $50-60 million-per-season contract, relocated to Florida.
In September, following a few months spent in a $9 million condominium mere seconds from “Golden Beach,” the World Cup champion and his wife Antonella purchased a vast, new $10.75 million estate in Fort Lauderdale.
The lavish home boasts 10 bedrooms, a spa room, two boat docks, and a swimming pool.
The 10,500-square-foot property sits within the gated community at Bay Colony, one of the floating neighborhoods north of Fort Lauderdale.
Abraham Bet-David, an American scholar, entrepreneur, and financial advisor, is one of his neighbors.
Moreover, it would appear that the neighborhood is already benefiting from Messi’s relocation, as property values have skyrocketed since his arrival.
In an interview with VladTV, he stated, “Based on the current market conditions, I have already amassed $25 million in equity on the home I own.”
“Messi arrived just adjacent to my residence. Everyone desires to be a part of our community.
A gated community is situated on an island with a singular access point; it is extremely secure and protected. God willing, it remаins so.
“Now that Messi is present, everyone is frantically boarding their boats to inspect the houses.” Everybody is doing well.’
Messi’s magnificent residence is situated near the shoreline, a mere 15-minute distance from both the DRV PNK Stadium in Miami and his training facility.
It is situated on the canals that wind through South Florida and features an edge-of-the-water swimming pool.
Inside, the house features nine bathrooms, an Italian kitchen, a fitness and spa room, a VIP suite, and a balcony that looks out over the Fort Lauderdale skyline.
Luckily, teammate Sergio Busquets is not far away either – the midfielder, who followed Messi to South Florida, is reported to have recently paid around $9m for a waterfront home in Sea Ranch Lakes.
Messi – who is currently enjoying the offseason – bought the property with the help of Team Simpkin, who have helped players at the MLS club buy properties since its founding in 2018.
He already owned a luxury $9m apartment in Miami – and now has two other condos in Sunny Isles Beach, according to reports.
He also reportedly bought a Miami apartment in the Porsche Design Tower back in 2019.
The 60-floor tower is situated between Bal Harbour and Aventura and is located 25 minutes away from Inter Miami’s stadium.
The building boasts several lifts designed exclusively for residents’ cars, allowing owners to park their vehicles in their exclusive suite.
As well as car lifts, the apartment has a private restaurant and an outdoor lounge that faces the sea.
Messi’s jaw-dropping home also features a cinema, golf, and racing simulator, which offer perfect downtime opportunities for his family.
