The Goal of the Month award for December goes to Alexis Mac Allister’s amazing goal against Fulham.
The midfielder scored his first goal for Liverpool with a low shot from 27 yards out in the first half of the exciting 4-3 win at Anfield.
Out of eight other goals that were in the running, Wataru Endo’s shot in front of the Kop in the same game was the winner and took home the prize.
After getting the award, Mac Allister said, “I’m very happy because there were so many nice goals this month.” “Thank you, though, to all the fans and people who chose this goal as Goal of the Month.”
“It’s not bad to score the club’s first goal!” This is without a doubt one of the best goals I’ve ever made. It looks good.
“I don’t think I knew how good it was on the field.” I saw how good it was when I watched the video. Very happy, and I hope there are many more to come.”
“I knew I was going to shoot,” the No. 10 said, breaking down the shot. I had no idea the ball would be top bins!
“But the point was to give it a shot; I enjoy it a lot.” We may not have seen as many of them in Liverpool because I play a lower role. That being said, I try to do it when I get the chance. That was a good goal.
“This is why we train so hard—finishing is very important.” I may have been a little farther away from this goal than I thought. But it’s something we train a lot for sure.”
