Expensive young star Jonathan David became a millionaire with a luxurious and successful lifestyle at the age of 24

In this edition of Throwback Thursday, we revisit an impressive mansion located in Brooklyn’s Prоspect Park, a property known for its timeless elegance and modern features. The mansion, designed in 1899 by architect Montrose W. Morris, was commissioned by Samuel Goodstein, a prominent member of the borough’s German-Jewish community.

The property, 17 Prоspect Park, boasts seven bedrooms, three bathrooms, and one half-bathroom, with stunning turn-of-the-century details that include stained-glass windows, mahogany columns, herringbone floors, carved mantels, and five working gas fireplaces.

The parlor floor of the mansion features a living room with a gas fireplace overlooking Prоspect Park, a formal dining room with a fireplace and butler’s pantry, and a beautiful kitchen with a 600-bottle wine cellar hidden beneath the stoop.

The upper floors house impeccably designed bedrooms, with the master bedroom offering privacy and views of Prоspect Park. The property includes modern amenities such as central air conditioning, humidification systems, Savant home automation systems, a security system, and more.

When initially covered, the mansion was listed for $12.9 million, making it the third-priciest residential listing in Brooklyn at the time. The property found its new owner in August 2022, with a sale price of $11,700,000. This sale marked the priciest in the Park Slope area in Q3, 2022, solidifying its status as one of Brooklyn’s most exclusive properties.
