A massive English-style mansion costs a pretty penny, so why does Deshaun Watson agree to pay that much?

The controversial athlete, who has faced allegations of sexual misconduct by multiple women during massage therapy sessions, returned to practice with the Cleveland Browns after an 11-game ban.

Watson’s new residence is a five-bedroom English-style mansion that has been extensively renovated in 2021. The property covers more than 17,000 square feet and is described as “the most prestigious and remarkable property in the region.” The listing agent, David Ayers of the Young Team at Keller Williams Greater Metropolitan, declined to comment on the sale.

The mansion includes a gourmet kitchen, a 3,000-square-foot fitness center, a cigar and tasting room, an office, and a media room. The primary bedroom suite boasts a bathroom, a dressing room, and an office, while the lower club level features a 12-seat theater, a gaming area, a lounge, and a full bar.

The property also features a stocked fishing pond, a pool, a tennis court, a volleyball court, multiple patios, and a separate carriage home, all set on 5.79 acres of land.

Watson reportedly used a limited liability company, Roadrunner Properties Ohio, for the purchase, according to property records. He was fined $5 million by the NFL and ordered to sit out the first 11 games of the 2022 season while undergoing counseling and treatment. Watson has not commented on his new property acquisition.
